As an EMDR practitioner, you can increase your knowledge and advance your clinical skills by seeking EMDR consultation.  We provide occasional and ongoing individual consultation to Part I and Part II trained EMDR and consultation for those seeking EMDRIA™ Approved Certification and/or Consultant status in EMDR.  Through consultation, you can learn more about case formulation, treatment planning, and application of specific clinical skills using EMDR.  As you become more and more proficient in EMDR and learn how to integrate EMDR into your clinical practice, we will help you celebrate your successes.

As trauma specialists, both Dr. Giessl and Dr. Hensley have extensive clinical backgrounds and possess advanced training with EMDR in specialty areas (trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder, performance enhancement, critical incident stress debriefing, panic, phobias, and obsessive compulsive disorder; children and adolescents), and energy psychology.  They are EMDR Institute Facilitators, EMDRIA™ Approved Consultants, Regional Coordinators for the Greater Cincinnati EMDRIA™   Regional Meeting (GCERM), and local sponsors for the EMDR Part I, II and specialty trainings.

 

EMDR CONSULTATION MAY – 1) help you fulfill your pre-requisite for EMDR consultation for the completion of an EMDRIA™ -Approved Basic Training in EMDR;  2) qualify you to be an EMDR-E and/or EMDRIA™  Certified Therapist or EMDRIA™-Approved Consultant in EMDR; 3) encourage and help you get started using EMDR in your clinical practice; 4) increase and develop your current EMDR skills; 5) teach you how to more effectively incorporate EMDR into your clinical practice; 6) provide in depth examination of case material; 7) facilitate the use of tactile stimulation and other bilateral alternatives and body processing; 8) keep you abreast of current clinical developments and research in EMDR; 9) provide a venue for a review of your clinical cases, particularly of your most challenging clients; 10) help you in integrate EMDR into your treatment plans; 11) comprehensive review of EMDR treatment protocols; 12) assist you in processing ineffective or difficult sessions; 13) and more
